Places to see petroglyphs and archaeological ruins in Sedona are listed on this page. The state abounds with ancient ruins and cliff dwellings of many native Indian tribes who mysteriously abandoned their homes sometime in the past. Petroglyphs, known also as pictographs, are drawings made by the indigenous people on rocks to describe significant events that happened to them.

Some listings link to a page with additional photos, descriptive text, directions or a map, and a list of services available in the area. Details on recreational activities such as camping and hiking nearby are included.
